Frequently Asked Questions

Q: Is Talking Time Learning Center only a place for children with language delays?

A: Absolutely not.  Whether your child is advanced, reaching their milestones at age appropriate levels, or showing delays, we have a program suited to meet your child’s needs.

Q: How do I get an application to reserve my child’s spot in one of the the programs?

A: You can download an application from our website, click here, or call us and we will mail you one along with a parent information packet.  You then call our office at (317) 776-9000 to set up your child’s evaluation time (you need an assessment before entry into either one of our programs).  Please mail your application to us prior to your evaluation date.

Q:  How much does each program cost?

A: The cost for the programs is dependent upon how many days a week your child attends.  The recommendation for frequency of services is based on your child’s evaluation results and team discussion.

Q: What methods of payment do you accept?

A: Parents can pay by check, credit card, or electronic funds transfer method.  Tuition is typically billed in  4-week increments for our Fall and Spring sessions.  Our summer session is billed in two installments of five weeks.

Q:  Does insurance cover all or a portion of the programs offered at Talking Time?

A:  Most insurance companies do not cover speech therapy unless it is restorative in nature.  However, each individual insurance policy is different so you would need to check with your insurance company to verify your benefits.  You may also want to check to see if you are able to utilize your flexible spending account if you participate in one.  Our speech-language pathologist will provide you an invoice for speech services once a month if your insurance does cover therapy services. We are “in-network” for Anthem Insurance.

Q:  Does Talking Time offer a sibling discount?

A:   Yes we do.   If you have more than one child attending Talking Time in the same session we offer discounts based on the program(s) the children are attending.

Q:  Are your Therapeutic and Language Enrichment programs all day programs?

A:  No.  We offer a morning session for both the Therapeutic and Language Enrichment programs.  The session is 3 hours (8:30-11:30) in length.  If you need an extended day, call us to find out about our “Lunch Bunch” group (11:30-12:30) or our Kindergarten “Power Hour” option (11:30-12:30).
